【論文名】CheckMate 171: A phase 2 trial of nivolumab in patients with previously treated advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer, including ECOG PS 2 and elderly populations 【出典】Eur J Cancer 2020; 127: 160-172 連載第32回に選ばせていただいたのはEur J Cancer誌から『CheckMate 171試験』の報告「CheckMate 171: A phase 2 trial of nivolumab in patients with previously treated advanced squamous non-small cell lung cancer, including ECOG PS 2 and elderly populations」です。現在の進行肺がんの治療戦略では一次治療として複合免疫療法が使用されることが多く、二次治療以降に適応のあるニボルマブ（商品名オプジーボ）による治療は限定的です。しかし、実臨床ではガイドライン通りに推奨される治療を選択できる症例と、治療選択に難渋してしまう症例があるかと思います。
